I love this dress because it reminds me of Audrey Hepburn or Jackie O.  I tend to go for more color but it grabbed my eye and I couldn't resist.  A pop of yellow and some ruby red lips and we're ready! Linking here and excited to see what everyone picks:)

Writing "Letters" this week too, here goes:

I love that Anthro necklace and I'm loving pattern shorts right now.

I found these cute shorts at Old Navy and the fit is great.

I think they'll be cute and funky/preppy with a chambray shirt and a funky necklace, very JCrewish.

I got the sailboat ones too.  They are less than $20 a pair!

I'm thinking white shirt and a hot pink statement necklace.

And...my bubble necklace arrived! I love it. It's even prettier in person. I wore it last night for a quick sushi date with Big C.  My babysitter immediately looked at it and said, "Is that from JCrew?"

It's almost Friday:)

Slipping and sliding

When Grandma was here visiting last weekend she whipped out a slip-n-slide from somewhere in her suitcase and we took the boys outside to have some fun.  It was the first time they have tried a slip-n-slide so I don't know why I was surprised that they didn't know what to do! We kept trying to tell them to run and dive but they just weren't going to do it.  So Big C put on his swimsuit and demonstrated.

 I think it's funny that he has perfect diving form.

Once he did that all they wanted to do was stand there and laugh at him!  Grandma was videoing and I was shooting photos, all laughing at with poor Daddy.  He's such a good sport!  The boys were still a little unwilling to try so Christian would pick them up by the shorts and kind of give them a toss to help them out.  It was pretty hysterical.  They finally decided it was fun; and then it began to rain. Of course! But no complaints, we need the rain.

It was worth laying in the dry prickly grass (on top of an ant hill!) to get some pictures.  We laughed about how small a slip-n-slide looks when you're grown up?! I remember it being a lot bigger.

Tuesday tidbits

1.  Tonight is the premier of White Collar.  I'm a fan of Matt Bomer and excited to see this. I've heard he's in the running to play Christian Grey. Okay with me!

2.  Speaking of Matt Bomer, my BFF sent me this message and picture.

She lives in Richmond and apparently CineBistro serves wine during the movie? How fabulous!

3.  NY Med premieres tonight.

As a former nurse I just love a good medical show.  ABC follows doctors and nurses at New York's Presbyterian Hospital for this one.  The promos even show a case with Dr. Oz.  Oh I hope this one's good, I've really missed the med shows.  I used to be obsessed with "Trauma: Life in the ER" but the hubs just couldn't take it.

4.  Speaking of TV I will be so grateful when this season of The Bachelorette wraps up.  We tried to watch last night but all the sobbing and kissing just drives me batty.  I know I'm alone on this but I haven't enjoyed this season as much as past seasons.  Except of course to see what Emily's wearing.  I wonder who she'll pick?  I'm clueless.

Weekend Update: Grandma's visit

We have had a great weekend.  It flew by! Grandma flew in from the big city to spend some time with us and we've had a ball.  Favorite picture of the weekend: the hubs demonstrating for the boys how to properly use a Slip'n'Slide.  He's going to kill me for this but I can't resist (more to come on this...)
