Yesterday's to do's: (the ones I can remember anyway)
Get C's invitations made (Sweet Birdie's Nest:)
Sign up for swimming
Relax:)
I didn't get it all done but I'm close!
So I caved and bought a Scuba hoodie from Lululemon and I have no regrets. It is so warm and cozy and I love it like I love cake. I present to you my new mom uniform, complete with a power bar in hand, so cliche but I'm laughing, who cares!
I ran yesterday in 24 degree weather. My body was warm but I thought my face was going to crack and break off. BRRRRR! Not since we lived in Pennsylvania have I experienced air this frigid. I made it a short and sweet 2 miler and ran a quick first mile -- love that Nike+ encourages me with hysterical one liners.
My mother in law bought me a dutch oven and I LOVE it. I have a wonderful recipe to share, coming soon.... It's one of those things that I wonder how I lived without.
Currently reading....
It is very well written but parts are difficult to read. It received wonderful reviews and has been on my 'to read' list for a while. Would I recommend it? Overall, I think yes. But I'll warn you it's not light -- heavy subject matter.
My sister in law gave me the cutest little Eiffel Tower jewelry holder from Anthro. I rudely forgot to send her a thank you note. It sits on my desk and has become one of my favorite little trinkets. Thanks Sarah!
We have been having so much fun playing Spot It! with the kiddos. If you haven't played it you should, it's really fun!
I'm loving Keith Urban on American Idol. As you may or may not know, he's like Elvis to me. I'm his biggest fan. I think he's funny and sweet on Idol and I love it! Nicki Minaj cracks me up too.

Oh wait, here's another one.
Not that I have a collection of Keith Urban photos or anything.
Happy Wednesday friends! I'm linking with my pal Shanna for her fun link up:)
I never really thought Keith Urban was that cute until I started watching him on Idol. But now? Yes please!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Blog! Love the mom look - you pulled it off well! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been looking at Dutch ovens...so want one! There is no way I could go outside right now-it's frigid here. Like colder than anyplace I've EVER been!
ReplyDeleteLike I always say, I love your random posts! I have been wanting a Dutch oven as well! Do you have an electric or gas range? I didn't know how well it would work on electric which is why I've waited. Can't wait to see your recipe!! I love your "mom uniform"! I think you look wire stylish :) cracked up over the Nike comment too! Oh- couldn't leave out how impressed I am with your accomplishments on your to do list, running in frigid weather and especially loving that Anthro jewelry holder!! Have a great day friend!

Ok, I feel like a failure!! I have so many things that I haven't marked off my to do list! I need to get my booty in gear!! And I love me some Keith Urban too! We are meant to be friends!! And kindergarten is stressing me out too!! I can't believe my baby is about to ride a bus!!! Live your mommy mode outfit and that we BOTH said "mommy mode" in our posts!! Lol!!
ReplyDeleteLoving that hoodie. I toured a preschool Monday and could have cried the whole time. I keep reminding myself to be thankful that she is able to reach these milestones. Then I cry a little more!
ReplyDeleteI WISH it was 24 degrees here! Yesterday we had our coldest day yet -- an intolerable -31 degrees with the wind chill.
ReplyDeleteI saw Spot It at the toy store the other day.. Perhaps I should pick it up!
You are a busy momma. I'm so happy that you got a dutch oven, I use mine almost everyday. KEITH URBAN = awesome.
ReplyDeleteI am so obsessed with my dutch oven! I use it allll the time! Can't wait to see what you were cookin up!
ReplyDeletestill catching up with all my favorite blogs, I love crossing things off a list, I feel so accomplished when I can run a line through something!!
ReplyDeleteI just signed up for the color run here in STL
Hi Courtney~ Love the Lulu - looks great. I read the Kite Runner a few years ago - it's a very good book. Stick with it it's worth it. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteA few passages from The Kiterunner haunt me to this day. I suppose that it is the hallmark of a well-written book? I have the sequel but couldn't bring myself to read it and I also never watched the movie. Is that weird? Just couldn't do it. The only other book that affected me so deeply was a book in the Border Trilogy by Cormac McCarthy. I can't remember which book it was but it was the story of the wolf. I cried for days.
