Trip to Virginia

6.04.2012

This is a picture of Spirit, one of my nieces' and nephews' horses. He made a funny face for me, ha!

The boys and I left Friday for Virginia to visit my parents.  We were sad Big C couldn't come with us but he had lots of work to catch up on after vacation.  The drive took us about 9 1/2 hours.  That's a looooong time to be alone in a truck with a 3 and 5 year old but they were pretty good sports considering.  My parents live in a very rural area and I haven't had much time to access the old internet out here, it's an act of Congress to get it cranked up and running!

Anyways, here's what we've been doing.  We drove a billion hours on Friday and arrived safely in Virginia.  Saturday we went to my great aunt's estate sale and then I left for Richmond to visit my BFF while the boys stayed with Nana and Papa. Jules cooked me a delicious dinner and we drank a lot of yummy wine. It was a fabulous time.  The wine was a Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough) worthy of sharing but I can't remember the name.  Phooey!

Sunday morning I returned home to my sweet boys and we went to see my brother and my nephew compete in their motocross races.  They scare me to death but they did very well.  I forgot my camera.  GRRR!  Monday we spent more time with our cousins at my sister in law's parent's pool.  It's so fun to spend time with them.  So sweet to watch all our kids play together!

Now I'm packing up and Tennessee bound!!
